Who is Herb?

Fabulous Fantasies has been open since October 1988 and has been a corporation since June of 1992. The business is the brainchild of Herb Silvers who has been a pinball collector since 1972. Herb was born in Los Angeles California were arcade games have been an interest since the early 1960's. Since pinball has only been legal in California since 1972 his interest has center around arcade games. Once pinball's started making an appearance, his interest became more intense and he soon joined the world of pinball collecting. His collection over the years has changed many times. He would change themes every few years. They have ranged from 70's Bally Games to Low production and rare prototype games. The latter was one of the finest collections in the world. The three Pinball Fantasy Shows in Las Vegas featured them. If you got to see and play them consider yourself lucky as the games now are spread over the United States in various collectors' homes. His present collection is more personal in nature.

These are games that most influenced his life
  • Gottlieb Silver - His last name of course and features a custom backglass with the people of pinball on it. This glass is available for sale.

  • Gottlieb Diamond Jack - The first add-a-ball game he has ever played.

  • Chicago Coins Casino - His personal favorite and the first pinball he ever bought in 1972. Still owns it

  • Bally Odds & Evens - The first game he ever operated. Again still owns the game.

  • Williams Taxi - The first game he saw and played at his first Pinball Expo in 1988, This brought him into the pinball world.

  • Gottlieb Class Of 1812-A personal favorite. His wife's favorite game. What better reason to have it in your collection.

  • Bally Creature of the Black Lagoon - His daughter's favorite game. Again a perfect reason to have it in your collection.

His Other Hobby is 60's and 70's Muscle Cars

Here is Herb's latest project a 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge Convertible one of only 103 made.
It is a dream come true for him.

Promoter - Helped support The Pinathon Show in Northern California for years. Created and ran The Pinball Fantasy Show in Las Vegas and California for 4 years. Presently working on a reunion of The Pinball Fantasy Show Weekend in Las Vegas for Charity. "The Pinball Hall Of Fame".

Businessman - Started a restoration business that featured high-end work. Reproduced over 90 pinball backglasses. Games that were once trash are now coming back to life.He was the first to reproduce video game overlays and bezels. Brining back to life all the classic games that are a part of history. He is now working on a reproduction playfield process to save all those games from the trash. This will make a playfield look new for very little money and save hours of time.

NEW PROJECT- First ever Retro Production Pinball Machine. "King Of Diamonds will be available to the general public soon as a 4 player electronic version of the original Gottlieb 1965 game. Herb and his team are just about finished with it and hope to introduce the game at the Pinball Fantasy Show in Vegas in the near future.
